THE ARROGANT ARISTOCRAT HAD NO IDEA THE MAID WAS A PRINCESS

The heavy crystal champagne flute did not even vibrate as the final, foaming drops slid off the rim, dripping directly onto the lapel of Julian’s custom velvet tuxedo. At the center of the ultra-luxury ballroom, the low hum of the classical orchestra and the soft laughter of the high-society crowd died away into a sharp, suffocating silence.

"Look at what you've done," Julian said, his voice dropping into that flat, mocking cadence he used when he wanted to humiliate someone in front of an audience. He pointed a rigid finger down at the young maid, Alina, who stood before him in a simple black-and-white uniform. "This fabric costs more than your family makes in a year, and you’ve completely ruined it with your utter incompetence. Security, throw this garbage out into the street before she tracks any more filth into this pavilion."

Alina trembled, her fingers tightly clutching her silver serving tray as the cruel whispers of the surrounding elite pressed down on her chest. She lowered her eyes, desperately whispering for him to stop, trying to avoid a public scene. But her panicked pleas only made Julian push harder, his face contorted with a cold, performative rage meant entirely to showcase his perceived dominance to the room.

He stood there smirking, completely convinced his vast wealth made him an untouchable god who could crush her spirit without a single consequence.
